Dark Energy Survey Year 1 Results: Cosmological Constraints from Galaxy Clustering and Weak Lensing
By DES Collaboration et al. 1708.01530
Combined clustering and weak lensing cosmological constraints from DES first year data. For LCDM, they find
\(\sigma_8(\Omega_m/0.3)^{0.5} = 0.783_{-0.025}^{+0.021}\)
and
\(\Omega_m = 0.264_{-0.019}^{+0.032}\).
For wCDM, they find
\(\sigma_8(\Omega_m/0.3)^{0.5} = 0.794_{-0.027}^{+0.029}\),
\(\Omega_m = 0.279_{-0.022}^{+0.043}\),
and
\(w = -0.80_{-0.22}^{+0.20}\).
Combining with Planck, SDSS+6DF+BOSS BAO, and JLA SN Ia, they find
\(\sigma_8(\Omega_m/0.3)^{0.5} = 0.799_{-0.009}^{+0.014}\),
and
\(\Omega_m = 0.301_{-0.008}^{+0.006}\)!
Note that combined constraints on the Hubble parameter give
\(h=0.682 \pm 0.006\).
DES + Planck LCDM results without lensing give
\(h = 0.681_{-0.025}^{+0.010}\),
consistent with the Planck results
\(h = 0.656_{-0.026}^{+0.015}\).
For wCDM, they find consistency with LCDM, finding
\(w = -1.00_{-0.05}^{+0.04}\).
